A new study suggests that taking the drug sildenafil might be more effective for the treatment of erectile dysfunction than other types of erectile dysfunction in men. The new study, presented at the American Urological Association Annual Scientific Session, is an open-label, randomized, parallel-group trial that was conducted in the United States (US) in 2014 to determine whether sildenafil, an inhibitor of the PDE5 (phosphodiesterase type 5) enzyme, is more effective in men with erectile dysfunction.
